Ōtākaro Limited’s Senior Management Team Complete

Ōtākaro Limited Chief Executive Albert Brantley is pleased to announce the Company’s senior management team is now complete with the appointment of Keith Beal as General Manager, Strategy and Property Opportunities.
Keith will be known to many Cantabrians through his work leading the restoration of earthquake damaged buildings in the Catholic Diocese of Christchurch which includes the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament on Barbadoes Street. He has also worked extensively abroad, delivering projects for the BBC and Disney.
Mr Beal will be responsible for fostering collaboration between the private sector, community and the Government during the divestment of surplus Crown land in a way that balances good commercial outcomes with regeneration objectives.
“Keith’s commencement with Ōtākaro on 15 August will round out a senior management team that is extremely capable of delivering against Ōtākaro’s purpose,” says Mr Brantley.
Ōtākaro also recently welcomed Robert Fiske as its General Manager, Development. Robert and his team will be responsible for the delivery of the Anchor Projects safely, on time and within budget.
Robert has an extensive development background and has been employed by BHP Billiton in Perth for the past five years, leading the planning, asset management, engineering and operational delivery as well as maintenance and capital projects for a $6 billion portfolio of residential housing, power stations, high voltage transmission and distribution lines, potable water, airport and aviation infrastructure as well as port and rail facilities.
Robert Fiske and Keith Beal join General Counsel Ruth Keating and General Manager of Corporate Services and CFO Dave Mills in the Ōtākaro senior management team.
“This is a group of leaders that will hit the ground running because that is what the people of Christchurch expect and deserve,” says Mr Brantley.
Ruth Keating brings a wealth of experience in commercial law to this important position. A Cantabrian who studied at Canterbury University, Ruth worked at Meridian Energy and several large law firms in New Zealand, the UK and Australia before relocating from Melbourne to join Ōtākaro.
Dave Mills brings considerable experience in Christchurch’s post-quake regeneration efforts having held the position of CFO at CERA. Dave has been an important part of the establishment team for Ōtākaro. He has formerly held management positions with New Zealand Cricket and Meridian Energy.
In an environment where people with these skills are in high demand, Ōtākaro is fortunate this group has chosen to come and make a positive contribution to Christchurch.
